Lev Savittieri is a senior currently enrolled at San Diego State University as a BFA in dance. As a "dance artist" Lev wants to explore the binaries of masculinity and femininity as well as bring a light, quirkiness and amusement to my movement. They want to be able to explore the extremities of each binary. As a person of color and part of the LGBTQ+ community, being gay and nonbinary are three very important identities for them and their work. In their work, they want to bring more light to these binaries, not only movement but within the dance community as well.

Lev's goal as a choreographer is to pursue risk and vulnerability to be able to stretch limits and challenge expectations of amusement and dance. Another goal is to be able to develop a strong relationship between dance and the camera to be able to amplify movement with set design. Lev is passionate on how to further elevate dance as not only a form of identity and activism but as a form of visual art, as well as be able to bring a narrative and storyline to these films.
