Ryan Hawley is the President, and founder, of the Danbury Young Democrats, and a dedicated advocate for local political engagement. With a strong passion for community involvement, he has been an active participant in Danbury politics since 2019, currently serving his second term as an elected Commissioner on the City's Zoning Commission.
Ryan's leadership extends beyond politics, as he has held significant positions in WCSU's Student Government Association, and establishing a lasting scholarship fund. Along side his political commitments, he indulges in his interests in photography, travel, gardening, and self-sustainability.
As President of the Danbury Young Democrats, Ryan brings his enthusiasm and diverse experiences to empower young Democrats and foster civic participation in the community. His multifaceted approach, combined with his genuine commitment, makes him an inspiring figure for young Democrats in Danbury.

Joe Britton, is a dynamic and influential member of the Danbury Young Democrats. As the youngest City Councilman representing the 4th Ward, Joe brings fresh perspectives and unwavering commitment to community advocacy. With experience in politics, law, and a passion for running and hockey, Joe inspires peers to engage actively in politics. His dedication, diverse experiences, and balanced lifestyle make him an exceptional asset to the Danbury Young Democrats, shaping a brighter future for our community. Joe's leadership, both within the organization and as a City Councilman, demonstrates his commitment to amplifying young voices and driving positive change. With his passion for public service and inclusive governance, Joe strives to create a vibrant and equitable community for all residents.
Jason Nova, a proud son of Dominican immigrants, brings a deep understanding of our democratic system and a passion for public service. With a degree in Government and Politics from Utica College, he combines his expertise in organizational leadership, crisis management, and non-profit management to address pressing issues and drive meaningful change. Jason's commitment to social progress is complemented by his business acumen.
Actively engaged in local politics, he has organized for Governor Lamont and currently supports Roberto Alves's Mayoral campaign as a Field Organizer. His involvement in political campaigns and dedication to inclusive representation further highlight his commitment to making a positive impact. Jason's extensive background, coupled with his practical experience and unwavering passion for justice and community organizing, positions him as a strong advocate for progress.
Jacqueline Cabrera has been with the Danbury Young Democrats since the summer of 2022.
Jacqueline works as a Parent Educator for a statewide nonprofit where she helps parents become advocates for their Special Needs children. Jacqueline is a parent leader and mentor here in Danbury. She is a graduate of both PEP People Empowering People, 2022 and Parents See Parents Supporting Educational Excellency, 2023. She is also a graduate of the Yale Campaign School, 2023. Her children are currently going through the Danbury Public School System. Jackie is a true believer in the idea that one must be more involved in their local school district and community as a whole.
Jackie comes with a background in the Danbury Public School System as a Family Liaison and in business operations management where she managed a book of over a million dollars. Having studied marketing, social justice, race relations and woman’s studies in college, she has the necessary skills to help move our organization towards a more inclusive, representative future.
Hobbies: Jacqueline is an avid painter, nature lover and poet on her time off. You can find her next to a body of water most of the time.
