Sum Rule

When you have a number or a variable with an exponent you combine your bases together and add your exponents together.  

 Examples:                                                                             Structure:

52 x 74 = 352 + 4 = 356                                         bx by = bx + y

3x4 x 6x10= 18x4 + 10= 18x14
