Reborn is a virtual reality experience that places users in the perspective of a fetus in the womb. Beyond offering a meditative journey, it prompts contemplation on the discourse of immersion. Upon removing the VR headset, users may feel a sense of rebirth, emerging from the simulated womb into the real world with newfound perspective. This project transcends traditional VR escapism, offering a thought-provoking exploration of the human psyche and the power of immersive technology to evoke deep introspection and understanding.
For this VR piece, I filmed a variety of cloths and edited them to emulate the perspective of a fetus in the womb. I also edited sound effects and layered them for the soundscape.
