About me
I am a blogger, a person who has spent her schooling days in SVM, Damanjodi. Now I thought to bring my experience about Damanjodi to digital media.
It would be very helpful, if you will also able to share your views, experience or any information about Damanjodi. I will publish those information in this site.
Even my born was happened in Nalco Hospital. Till 1999 I was staying in sector3 and have spent a memorable time here. Sector 3 was one of the significant sector in those times.
But by 2003, when Saraswati Vihar was made, sector 2 started to get more and more significance.
Currently I am not staying in Damanjodi, even for last 5 years, I have not gone to Damanjodi for a single time. When I was in class 7, we shifted to sector 1. I still remembered the developing stage of Nalco township.
When we shifted to sector 1, we used to play cricket in the play ground behind the sector 1 Market. I still miss the cup of tea in Peter Pan Shop in sector 1 market.
One of the best picnic spot that time was sector 2 nursery. I have remembered the picnics we had in the nursery.
Other memorable moments are the Ratha yatra, we friends have enjoyed a lot during this festival. Pulling the cart without bothering the rain is one of the best memory. The sector 3 park has been changed a lot since then.
Nalco has well maintained the sector 3 park. Behind the sub station of sector 3 park, we used to grow mushroom, I remembered the name as Dhingra, please correct me, If I am wrong.
That time there was nothing near the DPS, we use to roam in that DPS road. The GET hostel, that market area and quarters are developed recently only, may be in 2013-2014.
When we were in school, class 10, Saraswati vihar had a great significant. That time the mall was not there, but the market place was developed. We were playing cricket in the space behind the market.
We used to break window glasses while playing cricket on the road. The recall of those moments is still giving me a goosebumps. If you have experienced the same, then please let me know in comment.
Around 2002, Nalco made that stairs to the Jagannath temple. I have climbed the steps many time without any problem, but now its a big dream to climb the steps. I enjoy the jungle side to the stairs a lot. We used to seat on the stairs while gossiping with friends.
Also we have made picnic near the sabari lake park many times, in fact my home was close to the lake only. Celebration during Rabana podi is another enjoyable moment.
Satya sai Mandir also many events associated with me. During Satya sai baba birthday, I remembered, having the food there. The temple used to be overcrowded during this time.
