Letter from the President
The Dalhousie Undergraduate Political Science Society has had a busy and exciting year, coming back with full force after the past couple years that were hampered by global events and university restrictions, our strong executive team and general council (which grew exponentially this year!) have facilitated a variety of new and classic DUPSS events for the Dalhousie community, such as trivia and bingo nights, weekly study sessions, and reading lists. Our annual Honours information session was held in a new format, which allowed the Honours students to showcase their projects through a poster symposium or a 5-minute thesis presentation. We were also proud to once again offer the Dalhousie Political Networking Initiative, which got a record number of applicants this year.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who has participated in our events and initiatives this year, and to the general council and executive team for all their hard work in pushing the society forward to new levels. It makes our efforts worthwhile to see Dalhousie students extend their networks and communities. As well, I would also like to thank Tracy, Dr. Katherine Fierlbeck, and the Political Science Department for their continuous support and encouragement.
Finally, congratulations to all the students selected for the 2023-24 Podium journal. Best of luck in all your future endeavours!
