You should plan to present for 20-25 minutes. Make sure you stick to the 20-25 min limit. Practice your presentation ahead of time. Here is a guide for your presentation slides.
A - Introduction
Introduce yourself - tell us who you are, what you do, share personal things and professional things (1-3 slides)
B - Looking Back
Reflect on what you learned in the program - you might talk about some key takeaways, you might talk about how you're using the info now, you might talk about how your thinking evolved as you took courses in the program. Try to include some specific examples about how you've implemented things in your classroom based on what you learned. (3-5 slides)
C - Looking Ahead
Reflect on what you will do next and how the info has helped you - make connections with what you learned in the program - be specific (3-5 slides)
D - Conclusion
Provide a closing summary (1-2 slides)
The overall purpose of the presentation is for faculty to hear you reflect on what you learned in the program. We're looking for specific examples of how you're connecting the info you learned in the program and applying it to your professional life. We don't want you to simply give us a tour of your portfolio. We will already have reviewed that.
