In my portfolio you are about to read I talk about many subjects. The piece you are going to read talks about who I am has a person and about me.Now looking back this was a great way to start the portfolio because you can get a feel for me has a person. Than you can see what i will be writing about in my other pieces and know why I did write about them and how. The first piece was a big eye opener for me and got me really thinking about who I am has a person. In all my years of school they never have asked me to write about myself they way I did in this piece. This piece was a Challenge but I felt that I truly put myself out there and you can really get to get a feel for what kind of person I am.
The second piece I did enjoy the most to write because it was an interview. I like interview and getting to know about someone else is life and what they go through. This made me take a look at how other people are and that we all have our own stories to share with people. To me it was so crazy that I always knew my best friend but never really knew the struggles she had gone threw. After the interview I felt that we got closer because she really opened up about her feelings. I ma very thankful for this piece because it made me take a step back to really think about other people around us.
The place of mind was an eye opener for me. I had to think very hard about the places i wanted to write about because I wanted to write about places that mean about to me. But also how they changed me and they way they made me to the person I am today. Each place that I picked has a very special meaning to me, that they make me feel at home and peace.
The why the hate was the one that was the most hard for me to write. I do not hate people and I am the person that doe not understand why people fight or hate each other. It took me along time to get this piece all together and think like a different person. This piece was a big struggle for me but I felt like I did over come it and it made me see things different.
The last piece of the empathy was my favorite they way it all came together and really had to choose a topic to write about. It was good that we worked in a project and we all put in work and came together. Also the topic we choose to write about was something I felt was good to write about because this is something we can understand. We are college kids right now and we know what it is like. I feel that when the people on this class see this video and read about it they can now better understand First generation college students.
Over all each piece has a special meaning to me and I hope you enjoy reading them has much as i enjoyed writing about them.
