About Dai Lao Shi

Jing Dai is a recognized leader and award-winning Chinese teacher at Meade High School in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She is a strong advocate for multilingualism, and believes that learning another language does allow us to describe more of our life and it gives us far more opportunities and perspectives on the world. Jing is a collaborative, student-centered, creative problem-solver and she develops language skills in fun, engaging, and authentic ways. Jing creates strong relationships with her students and families and provides intensive academic support and promotes social-emotional well-being.

As a nationally recognized educator in her field, she is the current president of the Chinese Language Teachers Association-National Capital Region and a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences. In honor of Jing's work on promoting cultural proficiency for equity and inclusion, she was selected Anne Arundel County Public Schools Teacher of the Year, Maryland Teacher of the Year Finalist and Washington Post Teacher of the Year Finalist.

Perform Folk Dance at Chinese Embassy

On Saturday, February 16th, 2019, five Meade High School students were invited to perform a traditional folk dance at the New Year Gala for Chinese and American Youth at the Chinese Embassy.
