Lesson Supplements
I wanted to let you know that you did an excellent job following the directions while preparing the pie dough. Your attention to detail and careful execution of each step resulted in a perfectly made pie crust. The color of the crust looks great and indicates that you did not overwork the dough and baked it at the right temperature.
However, I noticed that the dough did not completely cover the pie tin. So, next time, make sure that the dough covers the entire tin. Overall, your pot pie turned out fantastic and I appreciate your efforts in making it.
I understand that you received feedback on your product and would like me to rewrite it to make it clearer. Please find the revised text below.
Your product looks great and it's apparent that you followed the recipe. However, I did notice a few things that could be improved, as well as things that looked good. Firstly, the pie dough did not cover the whole pie tin. For next time, you could roll out the dough a bit more and use the stretching method. Secondly, avoid small cracks in the dough. This may have happened due to rolling the top dough out too thin. In the future, try to roll it not as thin.
On the positive side, the color of the pie is perfectly golden brown and I can tell that you followed the recipe and used the egg wash method. Additionally, poking holes in the dough is important for the end product of the pot pie, and you did it well. The pot pie was very flavorful and enjoyable. However, for next time, you could add a bit more salt to the filling.
As I examined your final product, I could see that you followed the instructions for both the filling and pie dough recipe. However, I noticed a few areas that could be improved. Firstly, your pot pie lacks a crust, which was a requirement for this assignment. Additionally, you didn't egg wash the bottom crust, which was also a requirement. On the positive side, I must say that your pot pie tasted great, thanks to the poultry seasoning which gave it a well-balanced flavor, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly.
Lesson Two
I like your cookies! The green sanding sugar adds a nice pop of color, and the cookies are perfectly uniform.
I appreciate that you made your cookies in two different shapes instead of just choosing the usual round shape. It's also impressive how uniform your cookies are. However, I feel that adding some color to the cookies would have made them more visually appealing. Additionally, next time, make sure to remove all the flour from the cookies before baking them, as leaving flour on them will result in an unpleasant taste in the end product.
I can see that you followed the recipe when making your cookies, but there are a few areas that need improvement for next time. Firstly, the shape of your cookies is inconsistent. Some are circular while others are oval, which may be due to not using the cookie cutter for all the cookies. Secondly, I noticed that some cookies are missing from the batch, which could be a result of cutting the cookies too big.
Lesson Three
I enjoyed your crab cakes. They had a great flavor, and I particularly liked the addition of sautéed carrots. However, I think it would be even better if you added a sauce to the crab cakes.
I enjoyed your crab cakes. The flavor was excellent and I particularly appreciated the addition of sautéed carrots. However, I think it would be even better if you included a sauce to accompany the crab cakes.
The crab cakes were good, but I feel like they could use a bit more seasoning. Also, the sauce is a bit oily. Since the sauce has a fried component, it makes the overall dish very greasy.
