1:00 PM - 2:00 PM (During the Summer)

Children discover creativity using a variety of real artist materials.

PHOTOS: After reading a book called Action Jackson by Jan Greenberg and Sandra Jordan about the artist Jackson Pollock, children created their own action paintings by rolling a paint covered marble across paper in a cardboard tray. DeSoto Arts Council sponsors the art activity for grade school age children every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. during the school year at DeSoto County Library.

This program is funded through proceeds from the "State of the Arts" license tag purchased through DeSoto County Tax Collector office.

(Plate must be purchased in DeSoto County to help fund the DeSoto ART 4 KIDS program! Plates purchased out of DeSoto will fund other art program in the purchasing county)
