Assalamu Alaikum السلام عليكم

My name is Soukaina Sassi. I have been teaching at Daarul Uloom for 14  years. And I am so excited to be your child’s Arabic and Qur’an teacher. 

I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year with your child! With your help and encouragement Insha Allah there will be a lot of growth and enjoyment. 

My goal for the Qur'an is to get the students to memorize the Surahs with the proper recitation, correct tajweed, understand, and reflect on its meaning.

My goal for Arabic as a foreign language is to see my students able to read, understand, and communicate in full Arabic sentences.

My goal for the Quranic Language is to help my students understand the meaning of Quran through the grammar rules.

Qur’an Class:

 The focus will be on proper recitation, memorization, and the overall understanding of the ayah, with tadabbur 

• Memorization test: once a week

• Homework: Quizlet activities (once a week)

• Memorization Quiz (once a week)

• Tajweek

• Tadabbur

Grading breakdown:

• Summative Assessments (Tests, Projects, Major Essays, etc) 60%

•  Formative Assessments ie. Quizes 20%

• Classwork 10%

• Homework 10%
