Each branch location has a Worksite Designated Worker (WDW) who serves as a Health and Safety Representative. These dedicated volunteers conduct monthly workplace inspections and participate in approximately four meetings each school year. During these meetings, members share information, discuss challenges, and collaborate on practical solutions. Together, the committee determines key messages to be shared with members at the end of staff meetings.
The Health and Safety Officer chairs the four annual TBU Health and Safety meetings, attends the monthly Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings at the Board Office, and ensures that important health and safety information is communicated to all TBU members.
If you have any questions or concerns related to Health and Safety, please contact your Branch Representative.
