Reputable Health & Safety Resources

• Workers Health and Safety Centre (WHSC) - The WHSC has been providing training to workers for over 35 years.  There are a variety of ways in which training can be received, including in-person locally, online, and onsite at a WHSC location.

• Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) - The OHSA is the law that protects workers from workplace hazards by setting out the rights and responsibilities of employers, supervisors, and workers. It establishes the minimum health and safety standards.

• Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training & Skills Development (MoL) - This is the provincial body that supports employment and training in the province of Ontario. 

• Canadian Occupational Health & Safety Magazine - A Canadian magazine that offers up-to-date information on health and safety in Canada.

• Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW) - A non-profit organization that provides health services to workers in Ontario. It is funded by the Ministry of Labour and provides medical exams, ergonomic assessments, and workplace walkthroughs to help identify and prevent work-related illness and injuries.
