D-DAY NewTab — Calendar Countdown (the “extension”). Publisher: wolf. Effective date: 2026-10-12.
The extension reads your Google Calendar (read-only) to show events whose titles contain keywords you choose. Everything is processed and stored in your own browser. The publisher does not operate any server and does not collect, sell, share or transmit your data to anyone other than Google, which you connect to yourself.
Google Calendar data. After you sign in with Google and grant the read-only Calendar permission (calendar.calendarlist.readonly and calendar.events.readonly ), the extension requests the list of your calendars and the upcoming events (up to one year ahead) of the calendars you selected. It uses only the event title, start and end date and time, the link to the event, and calendar names. It does not create, modify or delete anything in your calendar.
Your Google account email address. Used only to pick the right account when you sign in again.
What you enter in the extension: keywords, your choice of calendars, and memos.
Only to provide the features you see: the D-day list on the new tab page, memos on events, and the toolbar badge showing how many matching events start today and tomorrow. The information is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics or any other purpose.
Information
Where
Notes
Sign-in access token (about 1 hour)
Browser memory (session storage)
Removed when you close the browser or disconnect.
Email address of the Google account you signed in with
This device (local storage)
Removed when you disconnect.
Your keywords and selected calendar IDs
Browser sync storage
If you use Chrome sync, Chrome may sync these to your Google account. Calendar IDs can look like email addresses.
Cached events (titles, dates, links)
This device (local storage)
Removed when you disconnect.
Your memos and the title and end date of the event they belong to
This device (local storage)
Never synced or uploaded. Kept until you delete them; the extension never deletes memos automatically.
A small background process updates the toolbar badge about once an hour and at midnight. It calculates the number from the events already cached on your device and makes no network requests of its own.
We do not run servers that receive your data, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties.
The only network requests are to Google: Google sign-in (accounts.google.com), the Google Calendar API (www.googleapis.com), and Google’s token revocation service (oauth2.googleapis.com), all over HTTPS. If you click the link icon on an event, your browser opens that event in Google Calendar.
If you use Chrome sync, Google may store your synced keywords and calendar IDs under your Google account; this is a Chrome feature governed by Google’s own policies.

https://www.googleapis.com/*
Calls the Google Calendar API (read-only) to list your calendars and events.
The use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
Calendar data is used only to provide the user-facing features described above.
It is not transferred to anyone, except as needed to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or sale with your notice.
It is not used for advertising, including retargeting or interest-based ads.
No humans read your calendar data. The publisher has no access to it because it never leaves your browser.
It is not used to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Disconnect: Settings → “Disconnect Google” revokes the extension’s access at Google and deletes the token, the stored email address and the cached events from your browser.
Memos: delete a memo with ✕ on the new tab; open Settings → “Memos on finished events” to export all memos of finished events as a .txt file (created on your device) or delete them all.
Uninstall: removing the extension deletes all data it stored on your device. Synced keywords can be removed from Chrome sync in your Google account settings.
Google account: you can also remove access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Communication with Google uses HTTPS. The access token is kept only in browser memory and expires in about an hour. The extension does not load or run code from outside its own package.
Because the publisher holds no personal data about you, you can see, export or delete everything yourself as described above. If you believe the extension handles your data differently from this policy, or you have any privacy request, contact us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will respond to such requests as required by applicable law.
The extension is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If we change how the extension handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect, and the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing will reflect it.
