1. Status & Purpose

D-Circle is a community-led initiative operated by CROGGI CIC, a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales. D-Circle exists to explore collaborative learning, creator-owned innovation, creative practice, and emerging technologies, including responsible use of AI and Web3 concepts.

While CROGGI CIC is formally registered, many D-Circle activities remain exploratory, pilot-based, and developmental.

Accordingly:

• Participation is voluntary unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  
  

• No automatic legal, financial, or commercial obligations are created through participation.
  
  

• No payments, royalties, or intellectual property transfers apply unless explicitly agreed via a separate written agreement approved by CROGGI CIC.
  
  

• Contributors should retain original copies of their work, clearly mark confidential material, and notify facilitators of any IP or privacy concerns.
  
  

2. Intellectual Property (IP)

• Contributors retain full ownership of their original works unless a formal written agreement states otherwise.
  
  

• CROGGI CIC / D-Circle may document, reference, or showcase contributions with attribution, for community engagement, learning, or reporting purposes.
  
  

• Any future monetisation, licensing, or revenue-sharing arrangements will:
  
  

  • Be developed collaboratively,
    
    

  • Be documented in writing,
    
    

  • Comply with UK law and CIC asset-lock principles,
    
    

  • Require explicit opt-in consent from all involved parties.
    
    

• No IP frameworks are implied or enforceable without written agreement.
  
  

3. Data Protection & GDPR

CROGGI CIC complies with UK GDPR requirements.

Data collected may include:
Names, contact details, role descriptions, submitted materials, attendance records, and communication history.

Purpose:
Collaboration, coordination, attribution, updates, reporting, safeguarding, and legal obligations.

Storage & Access:
Data is stored using password-protected digital services (e.g. email, cloud storage, workspace tools). Access is restricted to authorised directors or facilitators only.

Your rights:
You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent at any time.

4. Names, Branding & Misrepresentation

The following names and identifiers are protected:

CROGGI CIC reserves the right to protect its reputation, name, and assets in line with its legal status.

5. Blockchain & Transparency (Forward-Looking)

D-Circle is exploring Web3 and blockchain concepts (e.g. timestamped contributions, transparent records) as potential tools for future accountability and creator protection.

• No blockchain systems are currently live or mandatory.
  
  

• Any pilot activity will be clearly identified as experimental.
  
  

• Participation will always be opt-in, with clear explanation of permanence and visibility.
  
  

• Participants may decline or withdraw from blockchain-related trials.
  
  

6. AI-Assisted Content

Some content, documentation, or media may be AI-assisted or AI-generated, with human review.

• AI tools are used to support creativity, accessibility, and efficiency.
  
  

• Participants should independently verify critical information.
  
  

• AI use will continue to follow ethical, transparent, and proportionate principles.
  
  

7. Participation & Liability

• Participation in D-Circle activities is voluntary and at your own discretion.
  
  

• CROGGI CIC accepts no liability for loss, damage, or reliance on information shared through informal collaboration or learning activities, except where required by law.
  
  

• Physical activities, workshops, or practical sessions may carry inherent risks; participants are responsible for their own safety unless otherwise stated.
  
  

8. Conduct & Removal

CROGGI CIC reserves the right to:

• Remove content or individuals who breach community standards,
  
  

• Disassociate from anyone misrepresenting the organisation,
  
  

• Request immediate cessation of affiliation if required.
  
  

This is to protect participants, partners, and the integrity of the organisation.

9. Policy Updates

These terms will evolve as CROGGI CIC and D-Circle develop. Updates will be published, and continued participation implies awareness of the current version.
