About Alyssa

Hi! I'm Alyssa Blancho. I started playing the violin in 4th grade and have loved orchestra ever since! The youth symphony program I grew up in made me love music and is where I was inspired to become a teacher! Not only did I get the chance to assist and conduct on concerts in College. I also helped start a program for beginning strings in 2017, Preludio Strings. 

I have been teaching private lessons for over 13 years and teaching in schools for 9 years! I have previously assisted and ran my own string programs in Kansas. I most recently  was teaching a 5-12 orchestra program for the last 5 years in Salina, KS. I enjoy seeing students grow and learn to love music. The Ah-ha moment is what does it for me!

I just got married to my Husband in June of 2022. That is what brings me to Indiana! I love teaching and playing music! I also love a good pun and my former students call me a crazy cat lady! I have 4 cats Pumpkin, Sherlock, Watson & Cleo! In my spare time I enjoy playing board games, painting pottery, crafting and doing escape rooms with my husband!
