Live Sound

Covered the basics of both Analog and Digital consoles but went more in depth into Digital consoles as it is most commonly seen being used outside in the industry as of now.

Digital Console

For digital console, we practiced on the yamaha CL3 console

For analog console, we used the Soundcraft GB2

For our audio project, our task is to set up a working sound system for a live performance where a band will be performing and we had to make sure the audio is good and clean for the audience.

Planning

we contacted the band to see what kinds of instruments will they be using and the genre of music which will come in later on. After knowing what the band will be using, we started to plan out on how the layout of everything is so everything is clear and easy to understand when we are setting up on the day itself.

we went through our audio systems before band arrives to make sure everything is in working condition to not waste time. Once the band is ready and we have gotten sound out, we went with a round of rehearsal with no changes to the audio, only after we finish, we fine tune the audio to make it fit into the genre the band is playing and also see if theres anything the band themselve wants to change.

Performance (RnV Band)

We did the same thing as rehearsal, making sure theres no mistakes before letting the band take it away with their performance.
