Breakfast: it is not a question of where you are going to eat, but what you want to eat that morning and who offers it.
(frits a. zeggelink)
The traditional Cypriot breakfast is a great start to the day. It’s a healthy balance of protein, vegetables and carbs with a coffee that will wake up anyone.
The meal may vary, depending on where you get it, but will contain most, if not all, of the following:
fresh bread
olives
Halloumi cheese
eggs (hard boiled or fried)
tomato
cucumber
lountza (cured pork loin)
butter, honey and jam
Usually too much for us but very tasty and recommended for those who want an extensive breakfast.

Very tasty sandwiches. A small place run by two elderly ladies who bake dozens of sandwiches every day.
Sandwich Place has been around since 1950. The fact that there is still a dining room where only sandwiches are made on site shows how exceptionally good and tasty the ladies make the sandwiches. The 20 cm long buns are toasted until crispy and filled with fresh ingredients.
