Kids learn by doing, and there's no end to the fun things that Cub Scouts do during Den and Pack meetings and at special events with their families and fellow Scouts. Hiking, camping, race car building... There is no limit to the fun things your Scout will do!
Cub Scouting is a year-round program designed to meet the needs of young children and their parents. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Service projects, ceremonies, games, and other activities guide kids through the core Scout values and give them a sense of personal achievement. Through positive peer group interaction and parental guidance, Scouts also learn honesty, bravery, and respect. Family involvement is an essential part of Cub Scouting and parents are encouraged to play an active role in the program. Through parent, leader, and fellow-Scout interaction Scouts will develop good citizenship skills, compassion, and love of the outdoors. This family and community centered approach to learning means that Cub Scouting is truly time well spent.
Fun with a purpose. Boys and girls join Scouting because it's fun, but it provides kids with so many more benefits. Scouting teaches leadership and character. It builds confidence and social skills. It teaches the value of service and citizenship. And it brings families closer together.
Our Pack does a variety of activities throughout the year including beach cleanups, camping, Cub Mobile races, a Pinewood Derby, hiking, nature center visits, and various service projects – just to name a few! We are always looking for new ideas for outings and adventures!
Many of our activities are open to visitors - this is a great way to meet our Pack members and learn what we're all about. We welcome new, enthusiastic members and know you'll like what you see. Contact us for details about our next event at cypresspack676@gmail.com.
