Beginner's Course: Photography Basics in 30 Days
Not confident in using your camera? Our fun, hands-on course has the right answer for you. All you need is to have a camera (SLR, mirrorless or even some smartphones) and the desire to give it a go! Classes can be customised to suit the needs of a particular group.
At the end of our Photography Basics in 30 Days course for beginners, you will be able to:
- Understand basic photography concepts;
- Use the manual settings on your camera to get a proper exposure and other hidden features;
- Improve on overall quality of your images, create powerful compositions and learn techniques to achieve tack sharp images;
- Develop shooting strategies for portraits, landscapes or specific type of photography you are interested in;
- Critique images of peers and your own, deconstruct or reverse engineer how an image was made;
- Have your questions answered during face-to-face class time plus on-going support via social media group.
PRICING: NZ$600 with minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 students. One session per week, 2.5~3 hours per session, in total of 4 sessions. Enrollment can be made individually, sessions can start anytime when minimum number of people required is met.

Portraits: Price starts from NZ$300 for a one hour session, you will receive minimum of 5 edited high resolution digital images. Your choice of location, travel is included within 30 minutes of drive from Tauranga CBD. Group head shots start from $50 per person.
Events: For weddings, sports, theatre, parties, documentary photography & etc., hourly rate of $75 apply to shooting and post production time.
Prints: Professional prints available at cost plus 10%. Designer photo books will attract additional fees.
Family and Friends Package: Half an hour shoot with 3 edited high resolution digital images, available upon request.
