Peak Weekday Flows - all modes

How have other transport modes fared post Covid? On this page will lok at public transport in London. We wiil also look at a UK return to work stat.

Blue line (Series 1) is the cycling data from the pevious page. Here for clarity we have averaged am and pm values for each month. Also shown (black crosses) are flows calculared from occasional counts on Cycleway 10. This is a parallel route, counted sightly farther out, Flows are in same range as for Doackhead and recovery is much same intil 2023. Plan to check this again in sprng 2024.

Red and orange symbols are weekday flows on London buses and tube trains.  After first lockdown these recover faster that the cycle flows.  By mid 2022 cycling has caught up and now, second half of 2023, is well above the public transport data.  It would be useful to have peak flows, rather than daily flows for bus and tube. Aso Inner London data. But seems likely to me that daily flows and peak flows will track together.

Green line plots UK return to work data. Assumes hybrid working is equivalent to 40% of full time return (i.e. 2 days a week rather than 5 traveling to work). This 0,4 figure is my guess from people I know. Cannot find really good fata on return to traveling to work. If anyone has it, please let me know (healthy.rider@mailfence.com).
