Cycle Day offers an optional feature that lets You share a summary of your cycle information with another person of your choosing (a "Partner"), and lets a Partner view cycle information shared with them by an Owner. This feature is entirely optional and is only activated if You generate an invitation code and share it with someone, or if You enter an invitation code shared with You.
We do not operate or store this information on any servers of our own. While a Partner Sharing connection is active, the following information is transmitted to and stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), a third-party service We use to operate this feature:
- The dates and status of your most recent menstrual cycle, your average cycle length, and your predicted upcoming cycles (up to three cycles ahead);
- Your daily symptom selections for the current day only, and only if You have separately enabled the "Share Symptoms" option. You may turn symptom sharing on or off at any time;
- If You are using the app as a Partner, an optional display name You may choose to enter, visible to the Owner You are connected with;
- An anonymous device identifier used to establish the connection between your device and the other person's device, not linked to your name, email, or any other identifying information unless You choose to provide one;
- A push notification token, used only to notify an Owner when a Partner connects using their invitation code.
This information is visible only to the person You have explicitly connected with. You may disconnect at any time from within the app; once disconnected, sharing stops immediately, and any code you previously shared is invalidated. Some data may remain in Firebase briefly after disconnection for technical cleanup before being permanently deleted.
Because this feature uses Google Firebase to store information for as long as a Partner connection is active, it is an exception to the general statement elsewhere in this policy that your data is stored only on your local device. If You do not use Partner Sharing, this exception does not apply to You.
