Access To Public Spaces
There are many public spaces where access is difficult or impossible for people with mobility issues and/or using larger bikes or mobility scooters.
When you find a public area with access issues, it is recommended that you use either NeatStreets or Snap Send Solve to report the problem. Be sure to quote the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)
- The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) makes it against the law for public places to be inaccessible to people with a disability.
- Here is an example of a report against a swing gate which makes access difficult for people with three wheel bikes, bike trailers, mobility scooters and prams/strollers.
