140th Anniversary Patch - new in 2021

  • Did you know it was our 140th Anniversary? Celebrate by being active with Chelsea YC Events this year and earn your celebratory patch! There are two ways you earn your patch:

  • (1) Log 10 sails during the 140th Anniversary Year OR

  • (2) Participate in 5 CYC events (note: events can be any non-sailing event. Examples: Memorial Day (can be done via zoom), CYC Open, Pancake Breakfast, Chef Stef dinner nights, CYC Cruising Fleet classes, Adult Sail, Youth Sail...etc etc)

  • Turn in your log to get your patch! Your "log" is any piece of paper, or an email, with your name on it and a list of your logged dates of sails or list of events... nothing fancy needed. Give it to Mark Maxam or email it to him.

Cruiser-Racer Award - award first offered in 2020 and remains available to all members:

  • Participate in a Chelsea Cruising Fleet Course

  • (What are the cruising fleet courses? Each week we'll publish a buoy course for the Cruising Fleet to sail. If you sail the weekly course - anytime during the week - you score 1 point. Just like everything in the Cruising Fleet... we operate on the honor system; report your finish to score the point. We'll have several series and recognize the winners. Score two points in any series to earn the patch! Anyone on board eligible.)

  • We are keeping two leaderboards for 2021 season: Captain/Vessel and Crew. Those on top of the leaderboards at end of each series earn some great Cruising Fleet swag!

This event is one of Casey the Rat's favorites, and we've put together a beautiful commemorative Casey patch to show for it.... with a special surprise after the sun goes down!)
