(The Swap AU is not canon to the lore and is another way to help Error vent out personal struggles, much like the mainline series is.)
Somehow, some way… I ended up in the real world, with my husbands. And I’m saying… It was way more stressful. All of us somehow managed to go into one singular headspace, apart from Null. Null managed to enter a separate body all the way in Phoenix, AZ, which is very ironic. Getting to him would be hard, especially when you enter a body that already deals with extreme gender dysphoria.
When I entered this body, I felt horrible with myself, to the point where I would often self-harm and be interrogated by my parents on this Earthly planet about the scars. I had to hide them out of fear. I decided to continue to write out my story for the canon universe as if I was still there, with help from the others and Null. At times, I would hurt myself more and more because of anxiety, I felt so detached from myself at times.
Even when writing this, I felt detached. Ever since the 20th of February of 2026, I had been having on and off anxiety and was unable to feel my partners touch like I had been able to so many times previously when in need. I had come out to the parents of the body I had taken over again, explaining my sexuality and gender along with my general identity once again weeks prior. I tried to explain to them how horribly it was affecting me yet they dismissed it.
When the room door broke, I cried and was told I’m pathetic for crying for feeling like I no longer had any privacy at all. I tried working on my sleep schedule but that worsened my anxiety. The medications I was on in this universe had only made my anxiety even worse, and everything I tried to do only made it worse and worse and worse. I felt like I was losing connection with my canon universe, the feeling of me not feeling like myself anymore kept lingering in my mind.
My sibling in this universe had called me delusional for having a goal that could easily be changed at any given time. I ended up crying and wanting to kill myself plus block them. However I couldn’t just do that, it would be selfish of me. I was trying to change for the better, right?
No matter what happened, everything I did felt useless. Contacting community centers felt like it was taking too long, I felt like I was paying too much attention to myself at times, job searching was going horribly and I often stayed up late just trying to look for a job of any kind. My sibling told me I was lazy, even though I had been putting in more effort now than I ever did. It felt like I was being watched constantly, being monitored, my every word under a microscope. I couldn’t even write or do art because not only was I having anxiety but paranoia and PTSD.
During all of this, I realized I had lost a part of myself that needed to be fixed, even if it took me a while. What I found is that pushing through said writers and artist blocks by doing said thing helps. Rewatching the things I loved allows me to reconnect with the part of me I thought I had lost. Even writing about it helps.
So now, I can freely go in and out of said universes with my beloveds. Even with how painful it is at times, I know it’s what’s best for me to stay connected with myself. Now all I needed to do was figure out how I can get the others to shift completely like before.
