Cyan Subhra Mishra

Ph.D. Candidate  - Computer Science and Engineering

Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA

I joined Penn State in Fall'2018 under the supervision of Dr Mahmut Kandemir and Dr Jack Sampson. I work in the domain of Computer Architecture and Machine Learning, specifically architecting energy efficient and intelligent energy harvesting wireless sensor networks. My research focuses on bringing intelligence to tiny IoT and Industrial IoT devices and connecting them together to build an intelligent sensor network where the individual intelligence of the sensors comes together to form collective intelligence.

Alongside this, I also work in optimizing XR (VR and AR) compute pipelines and efficient Deep learning training and inference serving in the public cloud set-up. Prior to this, I was working as a Design Engineer at Intel, where my primary focus was to design Hardware Accelerators for Machine Learning and Computer Vision applications.
