Biography

Cathy W.S. Chen is a distinguished professor in the Department of Statistics at Feng Chia University, Taiwan. She contributes significantly to the fields of Bayesian inference, diagnostics, model comparison, and forecasting. Additionally, she advances Bayesian methodology in econometrics and statistical applications in epidemiology research. She has been an ISI Elected Member since 2008 and has held the Chartered Statistician (CStat) title from the Royal Statistical Society since 2010. She is also a fellow of the American Statistical Association, the Royal Statistical Society, and the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA). Professor Chen has made contributions through her editorial work. Since 2021, she has served as co-editor for Computational Statistics and as an associate editor for several prestigious journals, including the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics (2013-2018), Computational Statistics & Data Analysis (2009-2016), the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Statistics (since 2008), PLOS ONE (since 2014), Computational Statistics (2008-2020), Japanese Journal of Statistics and Data Science (since 2017), Entropy (2020-2023), and Econometrics and Statistics (since 2024).
