Eligibility 

All players must formally nominate their chosen Association (prior to trials) by submitting their nomination to Cricket NSW.  All players may trial for only one (1) Association per season. Should a player trial at more than one (1) association, they will be ineligible from participating in NSW Youth Championship matches for the remainder of the season.

Age Groups

U11 - DOB on or after 1 September 2015

U12 - DOB on or after 1 September 2014

U13 - DOB on or after 1 September 2013

U14 - DOB on or after 1 September 2012

U15 - DOB on or after 1 September 2011

U17 - DOB on or after 1 September 2009

Submission & Registration

Registration has two parts:

1 - Formal nomination to Cricket NSW of your chosen Association (please select Canterbury & Western Suburbs CA). This must be done prior to trials.

2- Trial Registration to C&WSCA. There is a small trial fee of $25 which is required at time of registration and is not refundable. This covers hiring the required locations for the trials.

How trials work

Trials will be run by the appointed representative coaches across two sessions (indoor nets trials and centre wicket trials). Players will be assessed across key areas including:

• batting

• bowling

• fielding

• game awareness

• attitude and coachability
  
  

Selection

Coaches will select a Division 1 squad (with the potential for Division 2 sides pending the outcome of the trials) made up of:

• 13 players (final team)

• 2 reserve players
  
  

Selection is based on:

• performance at trials

• overall team balance

• potential and development needs
  
  

The selected team will be announced shortly after trials, allowing players and families to plan ahead.
