Camp Winona is a Girl Scout sleep-away camp for Girl Scouts in grades K-11 (ages 5-17) where campers connect with nature and develop creativity, confidence, and social and emotional skills in a fun, safe, rustic, and traditional camp setting away from the digital landscape.
Girl Scout Camp Winona is a member of the American Camp Association and has achieved accreditation status, by completing a voluntary peer review process of standards applicable to our program. Accreditation means that camp undergoes a thorough review process by outside camping professionals every three years.
Camp Winona in Hughesville, Maryland, offers campers so many exciting ways to experience nature. The camp covers 178 beautiful acres featuring lodges, glen shelter units and open fields.
Camp Winona has archery, tomahawk, and slingshot ranges, and Trefoil Pond for canoeing and kayaking. There are many trails for campers to explore the geological history of the camp.
