To join a Google Classroom, you need to have a Google account. If you do not have an email already, you can sign up for a free Gmail account through Google. Follow the “How to Set Up a Google Account” instructions for more details. For more information, follow the directions on Google’s Classroom Help page.
HOW TO GET STARTED:
OPTION 1—Joining with an Email Invite
1. Check your email for an invitation from your teacher or the Nampa CLC staff to join the Google Classroom for your class. OR, follow the instructions in OPTION 2 or 3.
2. Click on the JOIN button in the email (see red circled area in the picture below). The email will look like this:
3. Log in to your Google account. Enter your Google account email and password and sign in.
4. Click “Join” on the class card or the box.
OPTION 2—Joining with a Class Code
1. Go to classroom.google.com
2. Make sure to log in with your Google account. Enter your Google account email and password to sign in.
3. At the top right, click the + and type the class code your teacher gives you and click JOIN.
OPTION 3—Joining with a Class Link
1. Click the link your teacher shared with you.
2. Make sure to log in with your Google account. Enter your Google account email and password to sign in.
3. Click JOIN.
