I had the pleasure of being her student and my thesis supervised, she is helpful and accommodating, she even help me beyond my academic compliance since at that time when I was studying at NTOU we are under the pandemic restriction. She extend her assistance to us her foreign students to ensure we will complete the master’s program. Prof. Chang is a competent professor and possesses knowledge and skill having both domestic and international perspective, and sharing views of the program drawing from different school of thoughts. She has deep insight on international law and UNCLOS which are valuable for my research and thesis. Hello, my name is Chen Po Yen, and I am a former coast guard officer and lifeguard. I served with the Coast Guard for two years, where my primary responsibilities were maritime patrol and water rescue operations. Throughout this time, I gained invaluable hands-on experience and learned how to stay calm under pressure in emergency situations, ensuring swift and effective rescue efforts. Although I have since moved on from these roles, the experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for marine safety and a strong sense of responsibility and service to others.
