Planning your event
Each branch will inspire their community in unique ways, from info stalls to morning teas or guest speaker events. We have developed numerous resources and activities based around reporting Koala sightings through the I Spy initiative, to assist in developing and implementing an event to promote koala conservation. Three example event formats to cater to different audiences and levels of CWA member involvement are provided below.
In this format, an event is created in conjunction with a CWA Group meeting, Branch meeting or other Group event (e.g. Friendship Day).
This format is ideal for reaching broader audiences with minimal effort. It involves setting up an information table at existing community events such as agricultural shows or Australia Day celebrations.
This is the most immersive format, requiring the highest level of involvement.
