A graduating student may be allowed to enroll in more than the maximum permitted credit units, not exceeding 26 units, during the last two semesters of their program, provided that they have a GPA of 2.50 or better in the previous two semesters, as certified by the University Registrar. On the other hand, a non-graduating student is not allowed to take more than the maximum credit units per semester.
If you have been absent from classes for at least two (2) consecutive meetings, you must obtain an excuse slip from the Office of Student Affairs and present it to the instructor concerned on the day you return to class.
Dropping of subjects/courses shall be allowed within six weeks after the start of regular classes.
If you received a "4.00" grade in a specific subject and want to remove it, you are advised to contact your registration adviser to be able to take the removal examination during the regular schedule of removal exams. Take note that you are only allowed to remove it within one (1) academic year.
If you received an incomplete (INC) grade in a specific subject, you may remove it by completing the requirements for that subject anytime within one (1) year, provided that you are currently enrolled.
A student who wishes to apply for a Leave of Absence (LOA) must file a written request addressed to the Dean and endorsed by the Program Adviser. The application should be submitted before the midterm examinations of the semester.
If you fail a prerequisite subject, you will not be allowed to enroll in its succeeding course until you have passed the prerequisite. You must retake and pass the failed subject in the next available semester to continue with the programโs sequence.
For major subjects under the Electronics Engineering program, a minimum grade of 3.00 is required in order to pass. Failing to meet this standard means the subject must be retaken.
Electronics Engineering students are required to complete a minimum of 240 hours of on-the-job training (OJT) in an industry-recognized company or institution before graduation.
Students who wish to shift to the Electronics Engineering program must meet the minimum grade requirements in Mathematics, Physics, and General Engineering subjects, and must submit a request for program shifting to the Deanโs Office. The application is subject to evaluation and approval by the College Admissions Committee.
