Applying to CUWiP

STEP 1: APPLY (Applications open Sep. 3rd - Oct. 4th)

​You must apply to attend a CUWiP conference, and you will be either accepted, wait-listed, or denied. Priority will be given to applicants who:

1. Are undergraduate physics or astrophysics majors
2. Are from a community college and plan to transfer to a Physics program
3. Have never attended an APS CUWiP
4. Are applying to attend the conference that is geographically closest to their expected location January 17-19, 2020.

The application is free, and the deadline is Oct. 4, 2019.

STEP 2: REGISTRATION

You will receive an email from APS Physics in early November regarding the status of your application, you will either be accepted, wait-listed, or denied. If you have been accepted, you must register for the conference.

Students who are accepted to attend the conference must pay a one-time registration fee of $45, which helps offset some of the cost of the conference, including all lodging and meals. If you cannot afford the $45 registration fee, and your department is unable to help, you may request a fee waiver prior to registering for CUWiP. Further instructions will be provided when you are invited to register for the conference.
