MSE Survivor S6: April Highlights

Welcome back to the second month of MSE Survivor! It's been another thrilling month, with three more challenges done and a fourth just wrapping up. You'll hear more about that fourth challenge in a bit, but for the other three, I'll present the challenge as well as the highest-scoring entries from the week! Without further ado...

Survivor S6 Round 4

Gather up by the torchfire, Survivors—the next Challenge is at hand! In this round you will be asked to design cards for a hypothetical RETURN SET to a CANON plane. 

The plane you choose must have already been the focus of a canon premier in-universe Standard Magic set. For example, Amonkhet and Zendikar are allowed. Vryn (despite featuring in Magic Origins) and Shenmeng (despite being the setting for Global Series) are NOT allowed.

Your submission will include a total of FOUR CARDS:

1 Common

1 Uncommon

1 Rare

1 Mythic Rare

Survivor S6 Round 5

In this Challenge you will be tested on your ability to make exciting designs by showing us a whole cycle!

Your submission must obey all of the following:

5 cards

Must be a Horizontal cycle (1 of each color represented, or in the case of a multicolor cycle, five different combinations)

Must all either be RARE or MYTHIC RARE

Must all AT LEAST be mana value 4 or GREATER (they can have varying mana values, as long as it's at least 4)

IN ADDITION, you must select ONE of these prompts to guide your entry. You will also name your Imgur album with the prompt you choose:

- cycle of Vehicles in water world

- cycle of enchantments in disaster movie world

- cycle of gods in a new plane

- cycle of heros/villains in an in-universe superhero world

- cycle of instant or sorcery cards called Invocations

- cycle of faction leaders for a return set

- cycle of colored equipment

- cycle of Incarnations with an alternate casting cost

- cycle of kings/queens typed "Noble"

- cycle of three color commands

For our next Challenge, we will be playing a game of Designer Bingo!

Your entry will be composed of 5 CARDS, and you must choose from ONE of any of the following Bingo patterns:

1x Horizontal Row + 1x Vertical Column

1x Horizontal Row + 1x Full Diagonal

1x Vertical Column + 1x Full Diagonal

2x Full Diagonals

Each individual pattern is composed of 5 squares, which means you will have a total of 9 to work with (as 1 square will overlap).

Each of your 5 cards must follow at least one of the requirements on any of your chosen squares, and ALL your chosen squares must be followed across all 5 cards.

But that's not all! The first-ever Redemption Challenge was the most recent round, which was available to all previously eliminated contestants, the top two of which will have a chance to rejoin Survivor for Round 7!
