Hello designers! Another month has passed, which means it is time for your designs to be reviewed. The three designs I like the most will be presented to you here. Enjoy!
Third Place
Harakogo, First to Hunger (Designed by DracoFreezeFlame)
Ooh, this Kami has a fun bit of back-and-forth in its tribal gameplay. Sacrifice an expendable token for a reliable and powerful buf, or go all out and sacrifice your boardstate for what basically amounts to two huge beaters. The flavor on this is great as well, and fitting art makes the first to hunger the third to place.
Second Place
Sigarda, Emboldened Heron (Designed by GoblinWarBuggy)
A new color on a classic angel! I love this ETB effect for both Sigarda and just in general, feels super flavorful while also inviting plenty of fun strategies. I’m imagining swinging with a board full of little humans and then bringing all the casualties back post-combat. The art here is a little crusty, but fantastic design lands Sigarda in second place.
First Place
Gathas, Galvanizer of Orn (Designed by CyberFive)
Yet another legend with super cool back-and-forth! Gathas encourages you to strike a balance of legendary humans and nonlegendary humans, with a massive payoff! Three mana lords are usually a bit of a hard sell for tribal decks, but Gathas’s ability’s longevity and raw power almost certainly gets it there. Congratulations orn the first place finish!
Now, back to designing. For next month, I’ve already done half the work for you—design a card with the name “Unnerving Illusion”.
Good work, and good luck!
