Review the theatre etiquette guidelines below, then follow the instructions to play the "Bad Audience" game using the button below.
SHH…THEATRE MAGIC IN PROGRESS!
Stay quiet and don’t talk to your neighbor.
This is very important when you are watching a show. Talking or loud noises can distract the cast or audience members. Do not talk to your neighbors during a show unless the performers ask for audience participation.
BEEP-FREE ZONE
Turn off all electronics.
Phones, watches, or any other gadgets can make noises that could interrupt the show. Please turn them off and put them away-the show is for you!
FLASH FREE FUN
Taking pictures is not allowed.
Please do not take pictures of the show! The flash is very distracting and can be harmful to the actors on stage.
SIT TIGHT, DON'T TAKE FLIGHT!
Stay seated during the entire performance.
Once you sit down you should remain in your seat until your teacher tells you to get up.
DON'T MISS A THING!
Pay attention to the action happening on stage.
Watch the show, they are performing for you!
CRUMB FREE CROWD
No food or drink in the theatre.
The theatre doesn't like being sticky! Please do not bring snacks or drinks into the theatre during the show.
CHEER WHEN IT'S CLEAR
Applaud at the Right Time.
You should only applaud at the end of the musical numbers, and at the end of the show.
FOLLOW THE LEADER
Follow instructions that are given to you by your teachers and the theatre staff.
It is important to listen to your teachers even when you are not at school. The ushers and speakers will tell you where to sit and when you can get up.
NO TOUCH ZONE
Keep your hands to yourself.
Do not touch props, costumes or the stage.
RESPECT THE STARS
Don't touch the actors.
If an actor moves into the audience, do not grab or touch them. It can be unsafe and you could scare or harm the performer.
LOOK, DON'T LEAN
Be safe in the balcony.
What is a balcony? It is the upper level of the theatre where you can sit and watch the show from above. The balcony is a very nice seat that has a great view of the stage. It is important to behave when you sit at the balcony for your safety and the safety of others. Do not lean over the edge or throw anything to the seats below.
