MEET THE CAST
Benjamin Davis (Ensemble) has participated in three SYT productions. He played Eric in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr., Ensemble in Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical, and crewed Pete the Cat the Musical. This is his first play. Benjamin is homeschooled and his favorite subjects are physics and poetry study. He would like to thank his family for their love and support and his dad for driving him to the theatre.
Hunter Earls (Sheriff) is excited to be back on stage! Hunter is a 7th grade honor roll student at Green Charter School and takes voice lessons at Converse University. Hunter has been in several productions with SYT/SLT and Dorman High School, and has been part of several small films and background roles. He most recently appeared at SYT as Barnaby in Pete the Cat and operated the light board on crew for Disney’s Frozen Jr. Hunter has a true passion for acting and singing and is excited to continue pursuing the arts and to see where all it takes him. As always, Hunter would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support.
Miles Little (Little John) is a freshman at Spartanburg High School. He has been doing theatre at SYT for many years, his favorite credits including Charlotte’s Web, A Christmas Carol, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. In addition to theatre, he is a varsity and year-round swimmer. He serves as the freshman class president, adding to his 6 year streak of Student Council involvement. He can’t wait for the many years in theatre to come!
Hudson Mallard (Friar/Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his SYT debut! When he's not on stage, you can find him building his own video games or exploring the great outdoors through hiking, fishing, and any adventure he can find. He's excited to bring the beloved Friar Tuck to life and thanks his family and friends for their support.
Cooper Martsberger (Robin Hood) is thrilled to be back onstage at SYT. Cooper enjoys all aspects of the theatre including his most recent gig on crew for Disney’s Frozen Jr. Some of his favorite onstage roles include Burt Healy in Annie Jr., Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web, and Les in Disney’s Newsies Jr. When he is not at the Chapman Cultural Center, Cooper enjoys creative writing, reading, and running on the cross-country team at his school. He would like to thank Adam for his continued support, Mary for being an amazing and inspirational director, the Spartanburg Reader’s Theatre, and his friends and family for their enthusiastic encouragement.
Giroux Morelock (Muso/Ensemble) made his SYT debut last season as Greg in Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical. Other SYT credits include The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Edmund) and Pete the Cat the Musical (Pete). He will be Inman Children’s Theatre upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet as Romeo. This summer Giroux will be traveling to NYC to perform Off-Broadway with ICT/Milner’s Home Squad – The Musical. He attends Greeb Charter School and enjoys creative writing, drawing, music and being around animals. Giroux would like to thank all the special people who have influenced and guided him to this point.
Ben Rodriguez (Ensemble) has been involved in several SYT productions including Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. (Bruce) and The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition (Mayor of Munchkinland). He is ecstatic to be in another show with SYT. He is a 6th grader at Dawkins Middle School, and in his free time he enjoys reading, playing video games, and practicing his cello. Ben would like to thank his mother for supporting him in all his theatre activities and his sister, Selah, for inspiring him to do theatre in the first place.
Sierra Shuford (Maid Marian) is delighted to make her debut on the SYT stage! Some of her favorite roles include Audrey in Descendants the Musical, Mama Bear in Shrek the Musical, the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, and Jane in Mary Poppins Jr. She is a student at Spartanburg High School. Sierra also recently crewed in SYT's Disney’s Frozen Jr. She would like to thank everyone who has supported her in her theatre journey, especially her parents and her sibling.
Bishop Simmons (Will/Ensemble) is a 7th grader at Dawkins Middle School and is thrilled to be part of Robin Hood! Some favorite past roles include the Sultan in Aladdin, Bryce in Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical, Lumière in Beauty and the Beast, and Flounder in The Little Mermaid. Bishop also appeared in the ensemble of The Lion King in 3rd grade at Jesse S. Bobo Elementary and has loved being onstage ever since! When not performing, he enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, and gaming. Bishop would like to thank his family, friends, and neighbors for all their love and support—enjoy the show!
Judah Suits (Ensemble) is excited to be appearing on the SYT stage for the second time following his appearance in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. A 7th grader at McCracken Middle School, Judah has been involved in several school productions and recently made his SLT debut as Young Clyde in Bonnie and Clyde. He also enjoys singing, playing viola, and playing soccer and baseball. Judah would like to say, “I’m excited to share the stage with my brother!
Kirk Suits (Much Jr.) is excited to be appearing on the SYT stage for the second time following his appearance as Manny in Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical. Kirk has been involved in several productions at District 7 and Pine Street Elementary where he is in 5th grade. He also enjoys singing, playing trombone, and playing soccer and baseball.
Weslee Thomas (Much Sr./King/Marian’s Dad/Ensemble) a rising actor, media tech student, and powerhouse drummer based in Spartanburg. Currently a sophomore at Broome High School, Weslee balances his time between competitive marching band and honing his craft as a recent Barbizon Acting and Modeling graduate. Whether he’s onstage or behind a drum kit at local venues and churches, Weslee is a versatile talent to watch.
Stephen Wilson (Prince John/Ensemble) is so excited to be back on the SYT stage! He recently appeared as Oaken in Disney’s Frozen Jr., and some of his favorite past roles have included Rowley Jefferson in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical, Jimmy Biddle in Pete the Cat: The Musical, and ensemble in The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition. Outside of theatre, Stephen enjoys piano, voice performance, composing music, designing 3D models for video games, and family movie night. He sends a huge thank you to Adam and the amazing SYT team for giving him such incredible opportunities!
MEET THE STAGE MANAGEMENT TEAM
CHLOE HUJIK (STAGE MANAGER) is so excited to be stage managing Robin Hood! This is Chloe's second time stage managing. She last stage managed The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show. Chloe would like to thank her friends and family for their support. She would also like the thank Abigail and Alex for being great ASMs and Mary, Abigail, and Adam for giving her this amazing opportunity.
ABIGAIL PEUSER (ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER) is a junior at Spartanburg High School. She has performed with SYT, SLT, SHS Viking Theatre, D7, and Dorman Theatre Department. She enjoys all aspects of theatre and is excited for the opportunity to be an Assistant Stage Manager for Robin Hood. She would like to thank Adam, Mary, and Abigail Snow for this opportunity.
