Okan Turan ("we," "our," or "us") built the Currency Moment app (the "App") as a free, ad-supported application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.
By using Currency Moment, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information We Do NOT Collect
Currency Moment does not require account creation or login. We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Location data (GPS or network-based)
- Contacts, photos, or files on your device
- Financial or payment information
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you use the App, certain technical information may be collected automatically to ensure the App functions correctly:
- Device type and model (e.g., iPhone 15)
- Operating system version (e.g., iOS 17.4)
- App version
- General usage analytics (e.g., screens viewed, features used)
This information is collected in aggregate form and cannot be used to personally identify you.
1.3 Advertising Data
Currency Moment displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:
- Device advertising identifier (IDFA)
- IP address (used to estimate general location for ad relevance)
- Device and app interaction data

2. How We Use Information
The limited information collected is used solely to:
- Display currency exchange rates accurately
- Serve relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
- Improve the App's performance, stability, and user experience
- Fix bugs and troubleshoot technical issues
3. Third-Party Services
Currency Moment integrates with the following third-party services:
3.1 Google AdMob
Used to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings:
- On iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
3.2 Currency Data Providers
The App retrieves exchange rate data from CurrencyBeacon and the European Central Bank (via Frankfurter API). These services receive only the currency pair requests and do not receive any personal information from you.
4. Data Storage and Cache
Currency Moment stores exchange rate data locally on your device to provide offline access and reduce data usage. This cached data:
- Contains only currency exchange rates and timestamps
- Does not include any personal information
- Can be cleared by reinstalling the App
5. Children's Privacy
Currency Moment is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect any information processed through the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Opt out of personalized advertising via your device settings
- Request information about the data collected about you
- Request deletion of any data associated with you
Since we do not collect personal data directly, most of these rights are managed through the third-party services listed above (e.g., Google).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
