We go on trips! Bouldering, sport, and trad oh my!

Who gets on the trip?

Everyone loves pulling on rocks! Unfortunately, that means we usually have way more people interested in trips than seats on the van to get there. On top of that, we don't want to congest the crag with a huge group, so we have to limit our trip sizes to be considerate.

Once the sign-up form goes out, the trip leaders (typically board members or experienced club members) will select who gets a spot. There are several factors at play here; who fills out the form first, but also how to balance the skill levels of the group, and how to make sure we have enough gear for everyone who needs to borrow stuff, etc. The trips are also an awesome way to foster club community, so priority is often given to those who come to practices and other club events and who make an effort to be involved!

In short, you probably won't get on every trip you want, but we try to make sure everyone has the chance to get outside! Come to practice and make friends, or stop by social events or clinics... The more involved you are, the better your odds of getting on a trip. Also, keep signing up for trips! If we see the same person sign up multiple times but not get a spot, we give priority to them too.

If you feel like you have signed up for a bunch of trips but haven't gotten on, let us know! But be very nice! we are soft.

TRIP RULES &  ELIGIBILITY:

• Once you sign up for a trip, if you get a spot you'll get an email with trip details. You must reply to this email to confirm or pass up your spot. You must pay dues to go on trips.

• We usually meet early to leave for trips. If you are late, you will be left behind.

• If you are a no-show, you may be blacklisted from future trips. There is a huge waitlist for every trip, and it's not fair to waste a spot.

• On a trip, be cool, be safe, and listen to the trips leader(s). 

We are strict to make sure all members gets to make the most of club resources and trips! If you feel any decision by trip leaders was unfair, please contact us and we are happy to discuss.
