Helen Davies, Susan Johnson and Dee Cooper together are CURL. Originally the band featured Christa Brenan on drums, making it Victoria's only blues band composed solely of female players. When Christa left the band, the remaining three discovered quickly that she was irreplaceable, and decided to carry on as a trio. When asked to perform on larger stages, they add a lead guitarist and a drummer.

Most recently, they have worked with Victoria's Al Sabourin on guitar and Lake Cowichan's Andy Okell on drums.
