Special Instructions for Flag Lot Owners
A flag lot is a real estate term that describes a land parcel that lies at the end of a long driveway. A flag lot may lie behind residences, buildings, or open land, and it is usually not visible from a road.
Flag lot owners are presented with a unique challenge when determining where to place leaves due to the lack of available curb space.
The following steps must be taken prior to registering for this service:
1. Contact a neighboring non-flag lot homeowner requesting to have your flag lot leaves placed at their curb.
2. The home owner of the neighboring residence must contact the program administrators at admin@curbsidecleanup.com
The email should include their name, address, phone number and a brief statement about agreeing to have the flag lot leaves placed at their curb.
3. The home owner of the neighboring residence must be a paid participant of the curbside leaf program along with the flag log owner.
**Important** Do not prepare piles of leaves in the street/curb area. Anne Arundel County has passed legislation to protect the county waterways.
