Creative Team

Izzy Bohn

she/her, Alumna GS '23

Director

Izzy Bohn recently graduated with a degree in Human Rights and is now working as a paralegal at a civil rights law firm in downtown NYC. Previously at Columbia, she worked on Antony & Cleopatra, Sense & Sensibility, Scars of Metamorphosis, and several Latenite Comedy anthologies. She has also previously worked professionally as a Stage Manager.

She is so grateful to have had the chance to direct the first hybrid alumni/grad student/phd candidate/post-bac/undergraduate show in recent history at Columbia. Meeting and working with such talented people from all walks of life has been such a gift. She would like to thank her cat, Goose, as well as the entire team of actors and crew who lent their talents to realize this vision. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Olivia Kuan-Romano

she/her, BC '26

Producer

OKR is studying psychology with a dance minor and she's absolutely thrilled to be producing Bacchae! She's honored to have been involved with 15 mainstage campus shows -- in design, production, and performance roles -- in the past 3 semesters and cannot wait for more! This semester you can find her performing in CMTS' Footloose, co-choreographing the 24-hour musical, assistant producing the 130th Annual Varsity Show, and returning to her role as producer for The Lives of Our Times. She additionally works as a Production Assistant at the Glicker-Milstein Theatre and serves on the Columbia Musical Theatre Society (CMTS) and Columbia University Players (CUP) boards. Aside from theatre, she is involved with Orchesis, The RecoverED Project, and is a co-founder/president of the Barnumbia NEDA Chapter. You can also usually spot her at any campus production (or just generally around campus) taking photos.  She sends lots of love and many thanks to this incredible company for all their hard work (and for putting up with her lengthy emails). Enjoy the show!

Jon Pankauski

SEAS Ph.D. 2nd Year

Producer

Jon is taking on their first Producer role (Co-Producer, but don't tell their mother that) after mostly working with the theatre community as a Props Master (The Thaumatrope Game, Antony & Cleopatra, Crowd Work, Rabbit Man) and Actor (The Thaumatrope Game, The Disposables, Fleabag, Much Ado About Nothing, Antony & Cleopatra, Antigone). During the day they study combustion and atmosphere-relevant oxidative chemical kinetics.

Known for choreographing epic interpretive dances to mundane activities like grocery shopping, Ellie adds a touch of whimsy to the world of dance, proving that even accidental jazz hands can lead to a standing ovation! Kai Joseph

Kai the theatrical maestro who once mistook a prop sword for a real one and accidentally challenged the entire cast to a duel!  With a scowl that could rival Shakespearean villains and a talent for turning serious scenes into unintentional comedy gold, he's thrilled to transform Pentheus into a captivating force of accidental amusement.

She has been involved in Barnumbia student theatre both on and offstage and is so grateful to be a part of this community! Clarence Chen

CADMUS

Meet Clarence, an individual who seamlessly navigates between the stage and the digital world. Playing the role of Cadmus in "Bacchae," they bring a grounded presence to the theater. Offstage, you'll find them immersed in the competitive scene of League of Legends, where they shine as a master-tier Darius player, showcasing strategic finesse.

Beyond the scripts and virtual battles, this individual enjoys the simple pleasure of cooking, with a particular fondness for soups. In their free time, the kitchen becomes a canvas for experimenting with flavors and creating comforting dishes. His favorite soup is a simple pork rib soup(with EXTRA white pepper).

Whether stepping into character on stage, executing precise moves in the gaming arena, or stirring up a pot of soup, their life unfolds naturally, blending a love for the arts, competitive gaming, and the joy of culinary exploration.

Abigail Fixel (she/her) is so excited to be making her mainstage debut in Bacchae! Playing a frenzied Dionysus worshipper is the combination of her two loves since she is a double major in Theatre & Archaeology. Abigail is on both the CMTS and KCST boards and was most recently seen directing for CUP's Theatre Week, KCST's Shakespeare Festival, and gracing the stage as the famous orphan Miss Hannigan imitator in CMTS Showcase's Hard Knock Life. You've likely seen some of her costume designs over the semesters (KCST's Antigone, V129, CMTS' Next to Normal), and a good chunk of y'all are her residents in Plimpton (be good!). Due to the new PJO, Abigail has recently learned that she's a child of Aphrodite and has no idea what to do with this information (please help). If she were a God, she'd be Hera - Queen of Evil Plots. Outside of student theatre, Abigail is a closeted Disney adult, a Broadway nerd, and an avid popcorn enjoyer. She'd like to thank her 2022 Greek Myth course for... you know... Ancient stuff. Check out @campfixel!
