My name is Jake Cuomo
I'm a junior at the University of Florida studying to become a professional in broadcast production, specializing in post-production. I've been working with cameras for as long as I can remember, starting with Sony digicams at the Florida Film Academy to where I am today. I have a keen interest in editing, as it's like a puzzle trying to find where each piece fits. Editing is probably one of the most undermined aspects of the production process, it's how we build the narrative. Furthermore, editing is the bridge that communicates our thoughts to the masses. Through the blend of visuals and audio, we catch people's emotions and create something meaningful to them. It’s what makes the medium of film and television so special.
On my free time you can find me at different nature preserves and parks taking photos. Photography is one of my favorite pastimes, I find myself zoning out to sounds of birds, streams, and wind. It's almost like a natural symphony. There are so many different national parks to explore, each with their own characteristics that make them unique. The tall snowy volcano makes it an ideal spot for any nature enthusiast to explore. Mt. Rainier in Washington caught my eye and I hope to fly and explore the wildlife.
