When it comes to broadcast, television, or film production, the most crucial factor is postproduction editing. I have a strong passion for editing, it's how we communicate our thoughts and emotions to a wide audience. For that reason, it is the key part of any production. Editing is also the most enjoyable part of the production process as everything created before that point starts to come together and help create the media we enjoy. I love editing as it’s like a puzzle trying to piece together the narrative of the film. 

My career is something important to me as I want to be part in making creative decisions that build narrative worlds in the medium of film and production. I knew from the moment I picked up my first camera at the Florida Film Academy where I wanted to be. The fast-paced nature of productions fills me with adrenalin and eagerness. I would love to be part of a stop motion animated feature film as it's where I got my start from. The medium of stop motion brings unfathomable creative potential. Unlike most animation styles, stop motion brings a level of vitality and energy through still photos. Every frame scene was meticulously hand crafted to help create another world. Additionally, I always found it fascinating since it's the one of the first ways movies were originally made. 

I've always had a keen fascination with local news stations. Throughout the years I would tune into WESH 13, our local news station, when getting ready for school. The stories the local news stations cover gripped me with their narratives on how everything on the television is happening right around the street. What solidified this love of news broadcast was being part of the Dr. Phillips High School news team. Being in the control room with others gave me a sense of pride as together we helped create what everyone sees in the morning. At the University of Florida, I can take the knowledge to the next level. 

My future career and goals consist of being part of a team that helps create stories that people love. I want individuals to look at the things that I make and share their love for that too. I want to be a person that helps inspire creativity amongst a large audience, so they can go out and create art. The media we consume is important on a broader scale too, we communicate our thoughts and feelings through similar entertainment. Ultimately, I want to make the world a happier place through the media we consume.
