What will InPlace be used for?
Registering your organization for the program, posting positions, ranking students and receiving matches, contact management, submitting student evaluations throughout the year, and much more! Our hope is that InPlace can help us centralize our processes and streamline the program!

Tutorial: InPlace Step 1-How to register your organization
You will receive an email with login details for InPlace once you’re registration has been approved.
If you are registering other locations associated with your organization, please email springemployer@cuny.edu with the subject line: “Registering Additional Location”
This is important if you plan on submitting job postings for different locations since the job posting will use whichever organization you are logged into at the time as the location for the posting.
IMPORTANT: Deadline December 16th
When posting a job, InPlace will use the location associated with your registered organization. If you have another location, please email springemployer@cuny.edu with the subject line “Registering Additional Location”
Make sure to select at least one value from each of the keyword sections as specified in the tutorial
Once your posting is approved you CANNOT edit it, if you need to edit it you must withdraw it first, edit it and resubmit it and we will then have to approve it again. Because of this, you will not be able to make edits after the posting deadline. If you have extraneous circumstances please email us.
DO NOT submit one posting that should be broken into multiple ones. An example of this is a posting that states "Intern" and in the description lists positions available in the below department. This should instead be submitted as separate postings.
Make sure under Contact Information you select the "Add New Personnel" button. Include any account details for supervisors who will be overseeing the job posting you are creating and select the check box next to their name. Once the matching fair has concluded, the supervisors will be granted accounts on InPlace to manage their matched interns and any related tasks such as evaluations. If you as the internship coordinator will be the supervisor for a particular job posting, select the checkbox option under your own contact details to assign yourself as supervisor.
Note: We encourage partners that are requesting a large number of students for a job, to assign enough supervisors to oversee the interns. We recommend 3 interns for 1 supervisor.
Here are the next steps for Partners after the virtual fair interviews:
Please follow this link to begin ranking students on InPlace.
The deadline to complete ranking students is Friday, Jan 31st.
Preference as many students as possible. The more students you rank the greater chance you have of filling the position with a student.
You can only rank students who have submitted an application to your job posting on InPlace. So if there are students who you interviewed during the fair that did not submit an application on Inplace, reach out to them to submit their application so they can be ranked.
Check InPlace regularly for new applications submitted.
