বিগত ৫ আগষ্ট পূর্ববর্তী সরকারের পতন ও ৮ আগষ্ট নতুন অন্তবর্তীকালীন সরকার গঠন করা হয়েছে। এই সাবেক ব্যবস্থার বিপ্লবিক পরিবর্তনে সাধারণ ছাত্রজনতার সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টা ও আত্মত্যাগ ছিল অনস্বীকার্য। তাদের প্রতি আমরা বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধা জ্ঞাপন করছি।
আমাদের স্বাধীনতার নতুন সূর্য উদয়ের পিছনে অনেক রক্ত ঝরেছে। অনেক বীর সহযোদ্ধা তাদের জীবন দিয়েছেন, আর আরো বেশি সংখ্যক সহযোদ্ধারা এখনও লড়ছেন তাদের জীবনের জন্য বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে। যারা এখনো বেঁচে থাকার জন্য লড়ছে তাদের অনেকে হয়তো আর্থিক সংকটে লড়াই চালিয়ে যেতে পারা নিয়ে দ্বিধায় আছেন, অনেকে হয়তো পরাজয় মেনে নিচ্ছেন, অনেকে হয়তো লজ্জায় সাহায্যের আবেদন তুলছে না কোথাও।
আমাদের লক্ষ্য হলো এই বৈষম্যবিরোধী আন্দোলনে আহত বীর ভাই বোনদের চিকিৎসা চালিয়ে যেতে আর্থিক ভাবে যতটুকু সম্ভব সাহায্য করার। হয়তো সকলকে সাহায্যের হাত বাড়িয়ে দেওয়া সম্ভব নয়, তবে সর্বোচ্চ সংখ্যক ভাই-বোনদের আমাদের এই সাহায্যে পৌঁছে দিতে আমরা বদ্ধপরিকর। উত্তোলিত অর্থ সরাসরি আহতদের হাতে নগদ পৌঁছে দেওয়া হবে।

We're thrilled to announce a new collaboration by signing a MOU between the Seeds of Peace and Chittagong University Nature Club (CUNC)
The collaboration seeks to promote cooperation, explore opportunities, and develop ongoing partnerships to advance their shared objectives and create positive social impacts.
Under the MoU, both parties commit to working closely on a range of initiatives encompassing promoting collaborative initiatives, exploring opportunities for joint projects, research endeavors, and educational programs.
It’s worth mentioning that Seeds of Peace is a non-profit organization that works primarily in the areas of peace building and leadership development. The organization equips youth and educators with the skills and relationships to work in solidarity across lines of difference to create more just and inclusive societies.

We are thrilled to announce that the 2023-24 executive committee of the Nature Club (CUNC) has received approval. Mr. Md. Ibrahim is the President, and Mr. Md Nahin Alam is the General Secretary, leading a team of 33 members.
The outgoing President, Mr. Md. Leion Hassan, and General Secretary, Mr. Md. Mahmudul Hasan Saiful, officially announced the committee's formation on Saturday, November 4th, in the presence of the Club's general members. They handed over their responsibilities to the new members during the event.
On Thursday, November 1st, two prominent advisors to the Club, Professor Dr. Rashid-un-Nabi (Chair, Department of Fisheries) and Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam (Dean, Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries), provided their official approval for the committee in a joint announcement.
We look forward to an exciting year of environmental initiatives under their leadership.

'বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবস ২০২১' উদযাপন উপলক্ষে চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় নেচার ক্লাবের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত "Ecosystem Restoration" প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মশালাটি আজ (৬ জুন) সন্ধ্যা ৭.৩০ মিনিট থেকে শুরু হতে যাচ্ছে।
আজকের উদ্বোধনী সেশনে আমাদের সাথে থাকবেন জনাব নূরুল্লাহ নূরী, পরিচালক,পরিবেশ অধিদপ্তর, চট্টগ্রাম মেট্রোপলিটন এবং ড. মোহাম্মদ মুসলেম উদ্দীন, সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ও চেয়ারম্যান, ওশানোগ্রাফি বিভাগ, চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়।
'ইকোসিস্টেম রিস্টোরেশন' নামক আজকের সেশটি নিবেন জনাব সৌরভ বাগচী রাতুল, পিএইচডি ফেলো, কলেজ অব এনভায়রনমেন্ট এন্ড ইকোলজি, শিয়ামেন ইউনিভার্সিটি, চায়না।
আমরা সারাদেশের বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে ১৫০ এর বেশি আবেদন পেয়েছি। প্রশিক্ষণার্থী বাছাই করতে যেহেতু আমাদেরকে একটি নির্দিষ্ট প্রক্রিয়ার মধ্য দিয়ে যেতে হয়েছে, সেহেতু আমরা আমাদের সর্বোচ্চটুকু চেষ্টা করেছি। পরিবেশ-প্রকৃতি এবং এই বিষয় সংক্রান্ত ছোট্ট একটি মূল্যায়ন পরীক্ষার মাধ্যমে আমরা প্রশিক্ষণার্থীদের বাছাই করেছি৷ উক্ত ৫ টি প্রশ্নের মধ্যে সর্বনিম্ন তিনটি প্রশ্নের উত্তর যারা দিতে পেরেছেন তাদেরকে আমরা প্রশিক্ষণার্থী হিসেবে নিবন্ধন করেছি৷ বাকিদেরকে আমরা রাখতে পারছি না বলে দুঃখ প্রকাশ করছি তবে চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় নেচার ক্লাবের পরবর্তী আয়োজনে আপনাদের যুক্ত করতে পারব বলে আমরা আশাবাদী।
মূল্যায়ন পরীক্ষায় ৭২ জন প্রশিক্ষণার্থীদের নিবন্ধন নিশ্চিত করেছি। আমরা ইতোমধ্যেই আপনাদেরকে ইমেইলের মাধ্যমে পরবর্তী ধাপ সম্পর্কে অবহিত করেছি। যেকোন প্রয়োজনে আমাদের ফেসবুক পেইজ, ইমেইল কিংবা মোবাইল নম্বরে যোগাযোগ করতে পারবেন৷

শিরোনাম: Ecosystem Restoration
বিভিন্ন দেশের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক ও গবেষকগণ উক্ত কর্মশালার সেশনগুলো নিবেন। কর্মশালাটি সাজানো হয়েছে 'বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবস-২০২১' এর প্রতিপাদ্য বিষয়ের এর ওপর ভিত্তি করে। কর্মশালাটি ৬ জুন থেকে শুরু হবে।
অংগ্রহণকারীদের মধ্যে যারা ৬০% সেশনে উপস্থিত থাকবেন এবং মূল্যায়ন পরীক্ষায় ৬০% নাম্বার নিশ্চিত করবেন, তারা সার্টিফিকেট অব এচিভমেন্ট (certificate of achievement) পাবেন। তবে প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মশালায় অংগ্রহণকারী সকলের জন্যই থাকবে certificate of participation.

উন্নত ও সুখময় জীবন যাপনের জন্য চাই নিত্য পরিবেশ বান্ধব প্রয়োজনীয় পণ্য ও সুন্দর একটা পৃথিবী। আর সেইজন্য প্রয়োজন আধুনিক ও পরিবেশ বান্ধব উৎপাদন ও বন্টন ব্যবস্থাপনা। কিন্তু পৃথিবীর এই বাড়ন্ত জনসংখ্যার জন্য ও নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় দ্রব্যের জন্য আমরা কি পরিবেশের ক্ষতি করে ফেলছি না?
পৃথিবীর যে দিকে তাকাই সেই দিকে দেখা যায় পরিবেশের উপর কতই না ভয়াবহ অত্যাচার করা হচ্ছে...
যেমন: অতিরিক্ত উৎপাদন ও সাময়িক লাভের জন্য প্রতিনিয়ত অত্যধিক পরিমাণ কীটনাশক ও সার ব্যবহার এবং প্রচুর বন উজাড় করছি। যার ফলে পরিবেশের জীববৈচিত্র্য ও জলবায়ুর উপর ব্যাপক ক্ষতি হয়েছে। এই দ্রুত ক্রমশ জলবায়ুর পরিবর্তন আমাদের প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশকে কতটুকু দমিয়ে রেখেছিল তা আমরা এই সময়ে অনেকটা বুঝতে পারছি......
বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে পশু-পাখির মুক্ত বিচরণ উপভোগ করার মতো। যেমন : কক্সবাজার সমুদ্রের ডলফিনের খেলাধুলা ,পতেঙগা সমুদ্র সৈকতে কচ্ছপের আনাগোনা, মুক্ত আকাশে পাখির বিচরণ ইত্যাদি ইত্যাদি। তাছাড়া সকল প্রকার যান্ত্রিকতাকে বুড়ো আঙুল দেখিয়ে দিল এই বিষয়টা লক্ষণীয় যে, আমাদের পরিবেশের তাপমাত্রা কমার পাশাপাশি জীবজগৎ নতুন করে পুনরায় সজ্জিত হচ্ছে। এখনই উপযুক্ত সময়, পরিবেশকে নিজের মতো করে সাজতে সাহায্য করার, আসুন পরিবেশ রক্ষায় সচেতনতা বাড়াতে একতাবদ্ধ হই।
আমাদের ডাকে সাড়া দিয়ে ইতঃমধ্যে সংহতি প্রকাশ করেছেন এবং আমাদের সাথে কোহোস্ট হিসেবে যুক্ত হয়েছেন-

কোর্স টাইটেল: Biodiversity & Nature Conservation.
দেশের বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষকগণ উক্ত কোর্সের ক্লাসগুলো নিবেন। যেসব অংশগ্রহনকারী ৮০% ক্লাসে উপস্থিত থাকবেন এবং পরীক্ষায় ৫০% নাম্বার পাবেন, তারা পরিবেশ অধিদপ্তর থেকে একটি সার্টিফিকেট পাবেন।

আলহামদুলিল্লাহ।
সকলের স্বতস্ফুর্ত অংশ গ্রহণের মধ্যদিয়ে সম্পন্ন হলো চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নেচার ক্লাবের আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন অনুষ্ঠান।
এত সুন্দর একটা অনুষ্ঠান সম্পন্ন করার জন্য ক্লাবের সকল সদস্য এবং বিভিন্ন কাজে যারা স্বতঃস্ফূর্তভাবে এগিয়ে এসেছেন সবার প্রতি আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা। সকলের সম্মিলিত অংশগ্রহণ ছাড়া উক্ত অনুষ্ঠান এত সুন্দরভাবে সম্পন্ন করা সম্ভব হতো না।
বিশেষ ধন্যবাদ জানাই ক্লাবের উপদেষ্টা মণ্ডলীর সকল শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকা এবং পরিবেশ অধিদপ্তরের কর্মকর্তাদের, যাদের দিকনির্দেশনা ও সহযোগিতা আমাদের অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজনের মূল চাবিকাঠি।
আবারও ধন্যবাদ জানাই সকল সদস্যদের যারা তাদের প্রয়োজনীয় ক্লাস এবং কাজ রেখে অনুষ্ঠানে সর্বক্ষণ উপস্থিত ছিল।
সভাপতি ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক এবং ক্লাবের কার্যনির্বাহী কমিটির সকলকে অশেষ ধন্যবাদ।
অনুষ্ঠান সঞ্চালনায় এর ভূমিকা সত্যিই প্রশংসনীয়।
আশাকরি ভবিষ্যতেও সকলেই আমাদের পাশে থাকবেন এবং পরিবেশ সংরক্ষণে ভূমিকা রাখবেন।
