Research and Writing Performance Task
This research task challenges you to investigate a different culture and analyze if this society reflect any characteristics of a perfect, utopian world. The choices are The Amish, The Hutterites, The Shakers, and The Farm community.
On your culture's resource page, select and answer the Cultural Clashes Research Task Card questions using the following resources: 2 digital online sites, 1 of the images/videos media links, and 1 informational text article. Record your answers on the Research Task Card answer sheets.
What do these resources reveal about each community's beliefs, traditions, and way of life? Are there any sacrifices being made by members of these societies? How do these cultures compare to the world we live in today?
Once you have answered your questions using the Cultural Clashes Research Task Cards, you will present your findings in a written essay.
