Your Research Challenge: Step By Step
Choose your topic:
The Amish, The Hutterites, The Shakers, The Farm Community
Use the resource webpage for the culture you have chosen to research.
Step One: Choose and analyze two digital resources or websites from the five listed on your topic's resource page.
Using the Cultural Clashes Research Task Cards, provide the information on your Research Task Card Answer Sheet for each of the two websites you have chosen.
Step Two: Select one image or video and answer the questions on the Picture or Video Research Task Cards.
Step 3: Select one Informational Text article link to read and summarize both the content and cultural significance. Answer the Informational Text questions on the Research Task Cards and record your responses on the Research Task Card answer sheet handout.
For the final step, write an essay defining Utopia. Identify, with specific examples and details learned from your research, whether the culture you researched would be a utopia for others or if it is actually a representation of a dystopian society.
